Multi-Brush: The Most Used Tool in My Shed!
Published 25th October 2022 News
Duddingston Golf Club, Edinburgh, is one of the most outstanding parkland courses in the Lothians and Scotland; a credit to the hard-working greenkeepers who maintain it.
But come Autumn-time, one issue would always raise its ugly head - the dreaded wormcasts.
Duddingston had a heavy wormcast problem, and to deal with it the team would use a drag mat with topdressing. But this proved to be an expensive and time consuming activity.
Considering other options Head Greenkeeper, John Guthrie, arranged a demo of the GreenTek Multi-Brush, to see if it could better deal with this issue.
The first thing John fell in love with when trying out the brush was its massive 5.4m working width and how well it could float over undulations.
Immediately it was apparent how easily it could brush away the debris and wormcasts, with its huge span making light work covering all the fairways.
As John explains:
"I found the Multi-Brush so easy to use - great for standing grass up and brushing off dew.
"The wormcasts were dealt with quickly and efficiently, and I'm so pleased to finally have a cost-effective solution for removing them.
"Previously it would take me half a day to do half my fairways. But now I can do all of them in the same amount of time. It saves me so much effort!
"As well as fairways I also use the brush on greens and tees to remove dew, because we all know how much golfers hate wet feet!
"And because it's so good at removing dew and wormcasts I'm now considering doing some winter tournaments, which I would never have before.
"The Multi-Brush is easily the most used tool in my shed and I'd 100% recommend it to anyone with wormcast or dew problems."
