Thatch Removers
Thatch removal is the process of cutting or raking out thatch, which is dead organic matter, from within the turf surface. If organic matter levels are not kept under control, the build-up of thatch creates a soft spongy surface which holds water, encouraging shallow rooting, but then quickly dries out when the weather turns dry, resulting in the grass dying off.

THATCH REMOVAL FROM GOLF GREENS
The Thatch-Away triplex mounted Verticutters were introduced in 1988 and instantly revolutionised the process of removing thatch from golf greens. Their unique tungsten tipped blades with fan-force vacuum fins provided a never before seen cleanness of thatch removal and collection. The Thatch-Away Verticutter units were quickly followed in 2002 by the revolutionary Supa-System, a complete system of interchangeable cassettes which include the Scarifier cassettes for deep thatch removal. Two decades later the Thatch-Away remains the number one thatch removal tool for golf courses worldwide.
THATCH REMOVAL FROM BOWLING GREENS AND CRICKET SQUARES
For smaller areas of fine turf the Thatch-Away Walk-Behind Verticutter provides the outstanding performance of Thatch-Away’s tungsten tipped fan-force blades in a dedicated pedestrian power unit. Over the past twenty plus years, groundsmen and specialist turf maintenance contractors have found its performance and rugged build quality to be unmatched
THATCH REMOVAL FROM GOLF FAIRWAYS AND SPORTS PITCHES
For thatch removal from larger areas such as golf fairways and semi-roughs, football and rugby pitches, or cricket outfields, the GreenTek Turf-Conditioner is ideal. This has three rows of adjustable rakes, enabling it to be set gently for regularly lifting nap, or more aggressively for scarifying thatch out of the surface.
